Uganda will not hold training sessions ahead of the four-nation tournament in Morocco next month.
Speaking to New Vision, Federation of Uganda Football Association technical director Asumani Lubowa said that they had minimal time to train as a team.
“We are having about seven local players on the team. There will be nouse of having a camp for this number of players," Lubowa said.
"We are looking at an option of being in Morocco maybe two days before the tournament to do some training and get the coordination, but the meeting with the coach will decide on this."
The three-day tournament will take place from November 11-13 and the winner will earn 72,000 euros.
The four countries that will be involved include hosts Morocco, Sudan, Cameroon and Uganda.
Meanwhile, Cameroon have officially named Denis Lavagne as the Indomitable Lions' new coach.
Lavagane succeeds Javier Clemente, who was sacked on Tuesday for failing to qualify the team for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former coach of Cameroonian league champions Coton Sport de Garoua's chief objective will be qualifying the Lions to the 2013 AFCON and preparing for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, according to state television CRTV.
Cameroon legend Roger Milla has been rallying against the nomination of Lavagne, saying it would be "repeating the same mistake of hiring Clemente." Instead, Milla preferred a local coach.
The Under-20 national team coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile, a Cameroonian, who was also vying for the post, will be Lavagne's assistant while Pierre Mbarga has been named as the goalkeeper coach.
