Inter striker Diego Forlan is ready to make his comeback from his hamstring injury and help the team again.
The experienced attacker joined Inter from Atletico Madrid in the close season, but has so far been unable to make an impact due to a number of injuries.
"I'm desperate to play. I haven't been able to contribute much since I joined, as it hasn't been an easy period, so I can't wait to be able to help the team," Forlan said at a Christmas charity event organised by team-mate Javier Zanetti.
"I don't know yet when I will make my return, though." Forlan said.
The Uruguay star then went on to discuss Inter's 2-0 win over Fiorentina last Saturday and felt the Nerazzurri put in a good performance.
"We needed to beat Fiorentina and we managed it. That was the most important thing."
"We played well. To win trophies you need to put in the hard work and we're doing that so I'm confident."
Inter have climbed to 10th spot in the league table with 17 points from 13 games following last weekend's results.
They visit Genoa on Tuesday in a rescheduled Serie A fixture.
