Ibra accepts blame for Napoli red
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken full responsibility for his dismissal in Milan's 0-0 draw with Napoli and admitted that he deserved to see red.
The Sweden international was sent off 19 minutes into the second half of the game at San Siro for slapping Salvatore Aronica in the face.
Ibrahimovic has been hit with a three-match ban for his rush of blood to the head but Milan now intend to fight the suspension.
However, the 30-year-old forward has no complaints about his dismissal. "I did a stupid thing," Ibrahimovic told Canale 5.
"It happens, it happens. I have to learn from my mistakes. I don't need the television cameras to know what I've done. I made a mistake."
Should Milan fail to overturn Ibrahimovic's suspension, or at least have it reduced, the player will miss the Rossoneri's upcoming Serie A clashes with Udinese and Juventus, as well as their trip to Cesena.
However, Ibrahimovic believes that Massimiliano Allegri's men have sufficient quality to cope in his absence.
"I have confidence in the team," he said. "They will do well without me."
Ibrahimovic is, however, eligible to play for Milan in Wednesday's Coppa Italia semi-final clash with former club Juventus.
